tldr: These people are SCAMMERS. Long story short attempted to do a loan modification. They sent a rep to our house to fill out paperwork and sign them a check. Months later, went to their office to see how things are progressing. They ask for another check (their first rep said everything was paid for in full and they didn't need anything else from us). Thank God this was written on the contract. The next day they said they called the rep they had sent and said 'don't contact him again..he lost his licence (Neil something or other). A few days after that Neil calls us and says we need to pay them for the extra work they have to do (if he's fired, then why is he contacting us/in touch with the company?). They are dishonest and horrible to work with. Do NOT approach them for help. Go to HUD or call the HOPE hotline (google it). It is against the law to ask for money upfront to give advice on loan modification and yet these people demanded 5k. More than half a year later and nothing was done. Their office requires you to get buzzed in..all of their 'associates' are very unprofessionally dressed (mini skirts, thigh highs etc.) I would normally not judge people on the way they look if they are doing their job, but when a company's rep begins to belittle me and quite literally yell at me rather than answer my question, RUN. I've heard they went bankrupt (never returned any of my personal documents), but look up loan modification scams. Again, it is against the law to ask money upfront. There are free government agencies that can help you and give you advice on avoiding foreclosure, bancruptcy etc.
