Direct tv.

On March 19th of this year I had two clowns oops guys come out to install service. It was the worse experience of my life. When they first came in thy told me that because I live in an apt. that they were not allowed to use any staples, or drill anything. They said they would do the best job they could but that was their policy. A bunch of lies and crap. They had wires running across my floor in the path where people would have to walk. I told them that's a tripping hazard. This clown says" oh just put a rug over it , because we can't staple anything to your wall , we don't want to be sued". I have an autistic child and a younger four yr. old which they could clearly see. Ok, they then was suppose to set up the digital boxes, they did that but didn't do both remotes. One of the jacka$$es decides to take a load off and sit on my bed while setting up the remotes. Now i'm glaring him down and he just ignores me. By this time I just want these two fools out of my house! They had me this checklist of things they were suppose to do. They had only done like three things out of a list of ten!.
I called Direct Tv and reported Beavis and Butthead. I was told they would send someone else out the next day to correct their mistake. Come to find out those two were just contractors . They sent the real installer that worked for Direct Tv out. He took one look at my apt. and the condition they left it in and was heated. He called the previous guys and asked why did they do this . The guy named Travis tried to blame it all on me! The technician told him how could this be her fault she doesn't work for Direct Tv. While he was on the phone with that moron, I was calling Direct Tv to get out of this deal . I wanted nothing to do with them. I spoke with a agent that was very sympathetic and told me that being that it was less than 24 hours and the condition of this situation she would release me from the contract. i had paid them 200 dollars upfront for a deposit. I asked her would I get that back and she told me yes.
Long story short its been three months and I never got any of my money back. I contacted them and they tried to make me pay an early cancellation fee. I wrote them a letter in detail explaining what happened and what was told to me. They then stopped the early cancellation fee but still didn't give me my 200 dollars back. I thought of taking them to court but after talking to legal aid decided against it. These people are crooks. They have unskilled technicians that are unprofessional come into your home and do hazardous installation. When you complain about it they send other people out that tell you they can't fix the work. Then they take your money and have not a care about you. At one point I wasn't even getting threw to anyone. I had to use other phone numbers to contact them about this situation. BEWARE !
