I was trying to save some money by buying tickets for Disneyland on Craigslist. I put an ad up saying that I wanted to buy some tickets for 2 day hopper passes. A girl by the name “Leah” got back to me by text and asked if I wanted the tickets. I said how much? she said $100 per ticker I said okay. She used an untraceable Pinger number so I couldn’t track it. We met at Wal-Mart, She walked up from the side of the building, She pulled out a PayPal receipt and assured me everything was real. She claimed to work at the company listed on the PayPal receipt. Since the receipt had names and emails on it I assumed it was fine. She handed me 8 cards that were believed to be Valid 1 day hopper passes. She gave me 8 because she said her boss only had single days left (she said). So I said okay. I handed her over $400 and we parted ways. I didn’t realize they were stolen/un validated gift card passes from Vons until walking through the gates of Disneyland with my family. They stated they were stolen from Von’s and worthless. We had to put over $900 on a credit card to take our kids into the park, I was devastated. I found her info by just Googling “Ticket scams on craigslist” and her mug shot came up with 3 different news headlines. Her REAL name is Jacquelyn Carman, she is from Santee/east county area. I couldn’t believe that this woman has made a career out of stealing innocent people’s money and literally just crushing little kid’s hearts when they get turned away from Disneyland. I spoke with a couple different detectives And police officers about my situation this woman. She has scammed so many people be advised!!!
