James Colins

Bank Fraud

Bloomfield, New Jersey

I feel like such a fool and wanted to alert anyone else who may have been contacted by man claiming to be James Colins . I wrongly trusted this person who claimed he loved me, and yet hardly knew anything about him. He claimed to be on a contracting assignment in Africa, unpaid by an unnamed client .After weeks of chatting he asked me for money to help him pay hospital bills. Then he was left in a hotel he couldn't pay for. He had no friends or family he could contact. He even gave me the clients email address to try and help him. He claimed he couldn't get to his bank or use any credit cards and convinced me to send him more money via Western Union. I was even contacted by my bank for attempted fraud and didn't head the warnings. I may have lost at least $500, but could have lost much more.

I told him I had been scammed before and he repeatedly denied it was a scam. He said all he wanted to do was come back to meet me and see his daughters at a large estate in Florida.

He repeatedly asked me for me to open bank accounts in my name, and then give him all the personal information so his client could wire the money to him, each one had somehow failed thank god or I may be broke right now.

I even received emails from his "client" and should have been suspicious because of the broken english. But when I googled his email address I found a fake Facebook profile of a man in Bloomfield, NJ. I've reported him to Yahoo, Google, the Attorney General and Internet Crime Database. I will never contact this person again.
