Carrousel Kitty Persian Cattery

KITTENS/CATS HAVE RINGWORM!!!!

McKinney, Texas

I was scammed into believing I purchased a healthy kitten from Vicki Carter of Carrousel Kitty back in September. Little did I know that the kitten was underweight for its age, suffered from diarrhea, and ringworm. Many of my family and friends were infected within the first couple of days. Major outbreak and the kitten test positive and was covered in spots! She does not deliver what is promised. I NEVER received paperwork or a health guarantee. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAT FROM HER! I have been in contact with other recent owners and they ALL have suffered through the same experience. I have spent almost $2000 in medical expenses on my new kitten, other cat and dog, not to mention myself and children!! I have emailed Vicki on many occasions for information and NOTHING! She needs to be shut down and forced not to ever sell a cat again! She is a disgrace!!

First of all who is this, and second I answer all emails and text, third if there was an issue with your kitten did it go to the vet? Did you send the information to me? Did you change the kitten's diet? Also a new home for kittens causes stress and there can be a break out of ringworm, sneezing or loose bowels. That happens many times. These kittens are very healthy here, my vets give them an exam and test the kittens pass and there are no problems then they go to new homes and things happen. However I don't know who you are or why you would post this. If a kitten does have an issue if I get contacted I will ship from my vet all medical supplies that has been recommended. I do everything I can that kitten and buyer are happy.

I have had a few buyers tell me their kittens have problems or even died just to find out they just were lying to me so they could get a refund and a kitten. I do not give refunds and when the kitten is returned it will get a DNA to prove it is the same kitten that was bought. That trick has been tried also. The kitten switch. I do everything within reason to satisfy the buyer if there really is a problem. I have only received a vet bill one time to prove a kitten had a problem. No one else has provided any proof. I am a fair person not a fool.
Also I may add I do not have a buyers list for the person complaining to get in touch with any other buyers. So the claim that they have been in contact with other buyers is laughable.
What this woman says regarding the cats from Carrosel Kitty having ring worm is 100%....no make that 1000% true! We purchased a kitten in July 2012 and she too had ring worm. We have spent hundreds of dollars and even now (February 2013) are still fighting the battle. We went through numerous suphur baths, pills for 2-3 months, numerous visits to the veterinarian and have an appointment to return this week.

Everyone in my family has contracted ring worm numerous times. We have gone through periods of having to isolate the cat for weeks at a time (as we have another cat), washing clothes, sheets, bedding, mopping floors with bleach to disinfect, having our carpets treated professionally to (hopefully) remove the spores that are associated with ring worm and which can survive for months if not years to only activate again when you think you've finally won the battle.

This is a cat mill if there ever was one. They have multiple facilities in Texas and the one in McKinney is a run down house with tons of cats running free....and they undeniably have ring worm endemic within the population of cats that they breed and this is subsequently passed along to the kittens they sell to unsuspecting individuals.

DO NOT....let me say again...DO NOT purchase a cat from this "breeder".

I also was scammed by this woman. I bought a ragdoll kitten from her in January 2013. When we picked up the kitten she did not allow us inside to see where the kittens lived. That was the first red flag. She brought the kitten out to us and he was very small. She said he was 12 weeks but looked the size of an 8 week old. She claimed he was the runt of his litter. He also didn't have any hair on his tail. She assured us that it would grow in.

Well it didn't grow in! He had ringworm so bad that he had lost his fur on his tail. He suffered through numerous lime dips to get rid of the ringworm and 4 months of daily oral medication. We finally got rid of the ring worm, but only after infection all of us, our friends, co workers, and neighbors. Some of them multiple times!

Our cat also suffered from the most foul smelling diarrhea you can imagine. He was covered in fleas. And had a cold which was diagnosed as feline herpes. The ringworm was awful, but the diarrhea has take us 9 months and 3 vets to get rid of. And he was NOT litter box trained!!! so diarrhea all over my house was really fun! He had an overgrowth of bacteria and had to have several shots, and a 7 day course of antibiotics. It no longer smells like something died, but he does still suffer from the occasional loose BM. He also has to be on a special and expensive diet. If the stool continues to be loose I may have to take him back to the vet, last month I spent $217 at the vet. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this cat, trying to get him healthy. He is adorable and wonderful and we are happy to have rescued him from this back yard breeder.

And Vicki Carter I hope you read my post. Because I did contact you. You know exactly what I have been dealing with. You know your cats are sick. I know you know because you gave me a partial refund because of all my trouble! I have the paypal emailed receipt from you!
