Inmate Is Back In Jail

An escaped inmate thought he was going to Mexico, but instead ended up back in police custody. Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies say Big Sandy Jail escapee Andrew Lee was caught in Canton, North Carolina early Tuesday morning. Lee walked away from work detail at the Paintsville Recreation Center two weeks ago. Johnson and Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies coordinated a plan where Lee thought he was meeting someone in North Carolina to take him to Mexico, but instead, North Carolina police were waiting for him.
