Match.com online dating scam
birmingham, Alabama
This guy sent pictures and described himself as a contractor that was in South Africa finishing a job. He emailed me a picture of an $850,000 check that he was unable to cash for payment of the job. He said he needed to pay his workers and had no money. He also said the had expenses to pay and couldn't because he couldn't cash the check for funds. Said he would cash it once he got back home to Birmingham and pay mne back if I sent him money. I told him that I didn't trust him Then he comes up with a mother that lives in Ider, AL. He gave me her phone number. Like an idioy I called her from my cell. Her number was also a cell. She convinced me he was legit. So naturally I fell for it and ended up sending him thousands of dollars. I came across his name on Scambook. Apparently there are 4 scam posts about him going back to Aug. 2012. I whish I would have been smart enough to look there in the beginning instead of the end.
