SHE IS NOT EXPERIENCED AS SHE STATED IN HER BIO AFTER SHE CONTACTED US TO PERFORM MAKEUP DUTIES SHE SHOWED UP TO THE PHOTOSHOOT WITH CHEAP MAKEUP FROM 99CENT STORE AS SHE ATTEMPTED TO PUT NON-MATCHING FOUNDATION ON THE MODEL. ALSO STATING SHE WAS WELL QUALIFIED AS A HAIR STYLIST AS WELL SHE COULD NOT PERFORM EITHER DUTY. SHE WAS SMOKING WEED ON THE SET AND CURSING IN FRONT OF THE MODELS.MANDISA WILL CONTACT TOP AGENCIES WITH A FALSE RESUME AND SHOW UP TO JOBS UNQUALIFIED. MANDISA DUPERVAL IS NOT LICENSED AND DOES NOT HAVE A WORKING WEBSITE OF HER WORK. AFTER FALSELY POSTING THINGS ONLINE ABOUT NUMEROUS AGENTS AND BOOKERS WE ARE ATTACHING EMAILS FROM THIS PERSON WHO CONTACTED US REQUESTING FAVORS ETC. MANDISA IS GHETTO TRASH MUA TRYING TO BREAK INTO THE INDUSTRY WITH BOOTLEG MAKEUP CASE. SHE IS A TFCD RISK AS SHE COMES TO SHOOTS WITH EXTRA PEOPLE WHO HANG OUT AND DISRUPT SHOOTS. SHE IS A SCAM ARTIST AFRICAN AMERICAN GIRL WITH A FAKE RESUME. DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON BEWARE

My name is Mandisa Duperval, I received a notice recently in reference to this review. The accusations in this post are ludicrous. The individual (Silka Sosa) who composed this post is bitter for reasons not pertaining to business. In fact, I was called back to do a second photo shoot. I reside in Bridgeport, CT. Before I went into the beauty industry I graduated with a BA, double majoring in Psychology and Human Services form the University of Bridgeport. From there I went on to become a teacher, during that period I made a decision to solely work for myself, in 2010 I did just that. I love what I do as a makeup artist. In the previous post it stated that I also claimed to be a hairstylist, I am not. However, I work closely with various hairstylist who I can refer clients to when ever there is a need. In closing, to anyone with any questions regarding my resume, please feel free to email me or call me. I would be more than happy to forward you my resume along with any professional references.

MANDISA DUPERVAL is an absolute joy to work with. She came with a high recommendation and we have used her on many jobs. She is always punctual and professional. We could not be any happier with her outstanding make up work. We recommend her highly!
I worked with Mandisa this past August. I was going to do a photo shoot for my debut Album and I was very anxious about who would be doing my makeup. I don't believe in looking too made up and from the pictures I've seen from other artists, I was scared! I really wanted to look like me...only more refined and enhanced! I chose Mandisa because her body of work showed that she knew how to do just that without making the model look like a clown. I was so greatful that she decided to travel across states to do my make up for the photo shoot. I can't express in words what an amazing job she did!
Even the photographer would say, "your skin looks flawless". And I have the pictures to prove how great of an MUA Mandisa really is! More than that, Mandisa has qualities that you can't pay someone to have. She was so willing to help even if it was holding the umbrella for me when it started to rain.That is what I call a humble person and I was thrilled because I am the same type of person. By the end of it all, I felt like Mandisa, the photographer, and I were a solid team.
It is for this reason, that I am so saddened to read this nasty propaganda above because though I don't know the person who wrote it, its clearly obvious to me this is nowhere close to Mandisa's character. And by calling her a ghetto African american MUA...it says more of the character of the person who wrote it.
In writing this response, I want to let everyone know, when you take Mandisa as your MUA, you're not doing her a favor, she is blessing you with her gift because my deepest regret right now is that she is not close enough for me to utilise her skills at every occasion possible! Ill have to save her for the most important events of my life!
