Met Dennis on Plenty of Fish. Messaged for a day on POF site. I usually make first contact by blocking my number when I call. I'm a single mom. It's for my protection. When I went to call, he never answered. Finally gave him my number. We started texting and then we spoke on the phone. He was very charming. We seemed to get along well. I know a family from the same town he said he lived in. I mentioned their last name. He was able to name one of the sons and he knew what the mother did for a profession. I figured he was legit. We had plans for breakfast at a local diner. To make a long story short, he sent me texts indicating that he thought I was hiding something and coming up with excuses why I couldn't speak with him at certain times - I work and I have deadlines. Hello? Anyway, 1/2 way to diner I get a text saying I should just go home. Since I didn't text last night, he knows I'm hiding something. Wow. I'm thinking there's been a miscommunication and we're dead in the water before we've even met . . . . how do I iron this out? A couple of texts back and forth and he tells me that he was only looking for sex. I asked him, even though he read my profile and knew that was NOT what I was looking for? Why did he think I wanted that? Was he saying this just to hurt me? Etc. He totally played on my emotions. I get home and decide I want to send him an email. I look at his email address and decide to Google him . . . . and here I am. Can't believe I had his last name (fake or otherwise) and I didn't Google him first. All I can say is I'm glad he didn't show up. I wear a family heirloom jewelry piece that is worth a very significant sum of money. If these allegations are true, it could have been a catastrophe. Pictures I have posted were sent to me directly by Dennis - there is no question of copyright infringement from any website. They appear to be more up to date than those posted by other women.
