He is saying that he is developer working on the websites and mobile applications. I found him on www.freelancer.com. He had few positive reviews there. Communication at the beginning was very good. I gave him a big project worth 3.5k and we agreed that half will be paid by freelancer and half by Paypal. We have set up the payment breakdown he set up the tasks to be completed by him.
Everything went fine for first week, he provide me updates which were just so so and immediately asked for 500$ which he received. Then the second week he was already unable to complete half of the tasks he had planned and said that he will finish them in 3rd week but of course asked for 2nd week full payment. I have paid him another 200$ and we agreed the further payments once the further points are done. Since this moment he stopped communicating on regular basis, there was absolutely no work done from this point. After couple of weeks he said that he is very sick and he is in hospital that its his diagnose he suffers from. He was barely online on Skype... after some waiting I start investigating and looking for him. I found him online on freelancer.com taking another / further projects. There is another client he tried to scam, took money up front via Paypal.
After about 1 month waiting I told him that we are no longer able to wait for him and that we want a refund at least 450 - 500$. He seemed to be offended and said that he doesnt need our money that he will pay in full 700$. I told me that its fine whatever he wants we just need our funds back to be able to continue with somebody else. Another 1-2 weeks passed since then and this time he started ignoring my messages. There is no answer from him.
NOTE: This person acts and seems very professional so do not get fooled by him. Be careful, avoid at all cost, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY WORK and especially do not pay him without some security or up front. Ask for his personal details such address, ID, etc.
If you have some experience with this coder please let us know as we still demand our 700$ back. This person cost us money and time, he affected our business a lot.
