Mark Platt

Mark Platt of Boca Raton, have been sentenced after pleading guilty to mislabeling salmon fillets. Platt, Shifco and Northern Fisheries engaged in a scheme through which Platt oversaw the false repackaging and labeling of 1,500 pounds of frozen chum salmon fillets. In January and February 2010, fillets from China were relabeled as a “Product of Russia” because Russian salmon draws a higher price.
