I’m glad I came across other complaints about Toronto lawyer Maureen Ward because I know that I am not the only one who has been taken advantage of by MAUREEN WARD, Lawyer, with BENNETT JONES, 3400 One First Canadian Place, P.O. Box 130, Toronto, Ontario. Maureen Ward and her partner in crime Lincoln Caylor told me everything I wanted to hear in order to get me to pay her retainer, how I was going to win and how good my case was, and once Maureen Ward swindled me out of $75,000.00 she seemed less and less interested in my case before she finally dropped me when I refused to pay her more money. Maureen Ward claimed that there was some extra work that needed to be done, that we had not agreed upon and as such, there were unforeseen costs that had to be covered by me. After she dropped me, I kept fighting myself and won the case. I wish I had saved my money and taken the case on by myself as she did not seem in the least bit interested in my case once I had paid her the retainer fee.
