Cat Breeder Scam

Oakland, Florida

I emailed few breeders on ebay classifed regarding teacup persian kittens. Someone responded to my email and gave link to excattery.co.cc The website seems legit. It has address of 102 W. Oakland, Oakland FL on bottom of page. The breeder states she had larynectomy and cannot talk.

So I asked for the Vet #. She gave me phone #321-745-1575 for Dr. Yuri Rostov.
First few times i tried the number, a message stated "the magic jack customer is not taking calls at this time"

The next day the number worked. A man picks up and speaks in a very heavy accent. I couldnt make out the accent. Sounded eastern european or russian. He states he is vet for Kelly Donaldson for past 4 years and her kittens are healthy.

So I went through with the kitten adoption for $760. I sent through moneygram.

She said she would ship through royalmovers.za.gp. She gave me reference#.

Then later a guy calls me from 908-857-0100 named Rodolf Khan. He also had a very thick accent. He states they cannot ship due to harsh conditions of plane and that i need to rent a electronic crate for $790 refundable fee. That when I knew this was bullshit.

Many emails sent to Kelly Donaldson. No replies. I am in process of alerting police department and FBI.

I found a website, www.russianangels.ty because I was looking for a Russian Blue kitten. I sent an email expressing my interest and received notification that I would be contacted by email, which I was. A man named James Landry told me it would be $500 for the kitten and $260 to ship. His location was also, Oakland, Florida. He agreed to be compensated through Western Union, so i sent the money to his "nephew" named Stanley Dervil.

James said he would ship through Royal Movers. I went to the web site and there was no contact information for Royal Movers. Web site is shady. Royal Movers contacted me via email stating the kitten had been flown to Atlanta but could not connect a flight to Ohio, where I am, because laws prohibit kittens to enter Ohio without feline insurance. They wanted an additional $1200. When I contacted the breeder, he indicated he was not in good health and did not have the money to pay for this insurance. I asked him for a refund and have not heard back. I am going to contact the authorities in Florida, the FBI and Homeland Security. If anyone has any advice on who I could talk to directly i would appreciate it.
